Family protection

Protection against the financial impact of life’s ups and downs…

This can include life assurance to protect your family if you – or another breadwinner – should die. You may wish to ensure that there is enough money to pay off any mortgage and other loans, as well as to provide an income to see the family through until they are financially independent, should you no longer be there. Many people will recommend that you should insure your life for at least twenty times your annual income.

However death is not the only financial challenge your family might face. Long term illness or injury can prevent you from earning an income – and result in higher living expenses. Permanent health insurance and critical illness cover are just some of the arrangements that can be put in place to protect you and your family.

What’s more, in many families, one or other partner will work part time or not be in paid employment at all. If he or she were to die, or become ill, the family may need an income to employ someone to do all the thousands of tasks that the home carer does every week.

Our specialist partners help you establish just how much cover you should have – and what form it should take – and then make all the arrangements for you, leaving you to get on with your life.
